A snare that snaps just right, to roll along the beat
I'm not all there in mind, and you're not here with me
To get my limbs in sync, yes the beat has died indeed
And try as I might, I can’t grasp the offbeat
Or that little thing that fully throws me off my timing

I can't dance, no there'll be no dancing
I can’t dance this time
Perhaps a double suicide
Okay… perhaps, just maybe, just maybe
I've gone too far this time
But I will not, why should I? How could I?

I remember the days after my mother died
My daddy stopped his bird-like whistling
Which reminds me of the Andean Condor
When losing its mate, looses all belief, and plunges
Off his Peruvian cliff side, and down to its demise
Very romantic indeed

I could stretch it out, I could pull it in
Snap and roll and glide, but I can't hit my stride
I could only guess, where you are tonight
I’m not whole without you, and I'm very lonely too
And the thought of you not coming back might just kill me
It's your smiling face, that gets me out of bed each morning

And seem to unveil the secrets of beyond
It’s the silence in-between that speak the words

So, if only for a moment, let there be silence
And then, once we’ve reconciled, and we’re ready
